That does mean waiting a little longer. But it also means you can make your sofa your own - from the size and cushion style to the cover, piping and fabric. Every detail is chosen by you, so the finished sofa feels right for your home.

Three Ways to Order
Lead times start once your specification has been confirmed and your deposit has been taken, rather than from your first enquiry.
We recommend ordering fabric samples early. They usually arrive within 3 to 5 working days, giving you plenty of time to see how the colours and textures work in your home.

Ways to Make it Yours
Choosing a made-to-order sofa means you can decide on all the details. From the overall size to the shape of the cushions and the finishing touches, there are plenty of ways to make it work for you.
Size and configuration
- Armchair through to a four seater
- Modular units with one arm or no arms, plus corners and chaises, for L shapes and U shapes
- Sofa beds in our Coco
- Footstools and coffee tables made in the same fabric
Cushions
- Knife edge with a big back: soft, relaxed, gently collapsing
- Box edge with a big back: more structure, still comfortable
- Box edge, fixed: tailored and neat, holds its shape
- Box edge with scatters: a firmer seat you dress yourself
Covers
- Fixed: upholstered onto the frame, crisp and close fitting
- Loose with a standard skirt: removable, softer, a little more forgiving
- Loose with a box pleat skirt: the most formal of the three
- Spare covers can be ordered at any time, in the same fabric or a different one
Piping
- Self flat and self round: quiet, in the same fabric
- Contrast flat and contrast round: a defined outline in a second fabric
- Oxford border: a flat bordered edge, tailored
- Soft edge: no piping at all, for the gentlest silhouette
Fabric
There’s a wide selection of fabrics to choose from, including linens, velvets, cottons, stripes and the large florals we’re known for.
And if you already have a fabric in mind, you can send us your own. We’ll check that it’s suitable for upholstery, help you work out how much you’ll need and make sure everything is right before we begin.
Order fabric samples
Getting it Into Your Home
US delivery is a two-person white glove service. Your sofa is carried into your home, unwrapped and positioned where you want it, and all the packaging is taken away.
It’s also important to think about access before your sofa is made. We’ll ask about your front door, internal doorways, hallways, stairs, tight corners and lifts. If access is particularly tricky, larger sofas can be made with a split frame.
Home installation: access and delivery
