What I enjoy most is getting to know how you really live, not simply what looks beautiful in a room. I like to understand how your home is used, who lives there, how you like to sit and relax, and, most importantly, how you want the room to feel.

I'm particularly good at helping you work through all the choices, from proportions and layouts to fabrics, comfort and practical details, especially if you're not quite sure where to start. My advice is always to choose for the way you live rather than for a photograph. I ask lots of questions from the start, offer straightforward advice, and like to have some fun along the way.

Having trained and worked as an interior designer, and having lived and travelled across several countries, I've come to believe that a home should feel like a reflection of you. Your story, your memories, and the life you've lived, rather than something lifted straight from a catalogue.

I love taking the time to really get to know my customers, their families, their lifestyles, and the design preferences that make them feel most at ease, rather than following whatever's trending. I enjoy guiding people through colour, gently matching paint and fabric undertones so a room feels cohesive, considered and timeless rather than thrown together. Sustainability matters deeply to me too, both the structure and the design.

I love helping my clients to feel confident in their choices, so that by the time they make their final decisions, they know it's the right one and will love the outcome for many years to come.

Benedict here, so lovely to be introduced! After studying History of Art at university, I worked as a sommelier for many years, before coming to Sophie Conran in search of learning new skills and pursuing something more creative.

I was surprised to discover that the process of finding a diner that 'perfect' glass (or bottle) of wine is much like the process of finding clients that 'perfect' piece of furniture. Each process is immensely personal and the questions are much the same. Will this sofa, or wine, suit your taste? Is it going to bring you joy? Are you looking to make a statement or a harmonious pairing? Are you looking for something ready to go, or are you willing to wait?

My favourite clients tend to come to me with quite open minds, looking to collaborate, and happy to be led on decisions of design versus practicality.

Choosing furniture is such a personal thing, it's a way of bringing your personality into the space you live in, and I love going on that journey with customers to find the piece that feels truly theirs. I like to understand colour early on, and how everything in the room will sit and link together, then really listen to how the space will be used day to day so it becomes somewhere special.

If you're not sure where to start, I'll often begin with fabrics, since seeing and touching them helps you picture the room before anything else falls into place. My advice is always the same: choose what you love and lead with your heart, the comfort and quality are already taken care of.

Above all, I'll always give you my honest, genuine thoughts, because what matters most is finding the right fit for your home.

I'm Bethany and I have recently joined the Sophie Conran team. I am an art historian and worked as a gallerist for the last few years, which has sharpened my eye for design. I absolutely love learning about individual projects, from large renovations to replacing an old, beloved sofa.

My favourite part of the job is helping find fabrics that really work with your room and match your lifestyle. It can often be overwhelming when deciding what fabric to pick, as your sofa is such a large part of your room. I often find it helpful to understand how you would like the room to feel and what kind of use the sofa will have: choosing fabrics is much easier from there.
